BK™ Family Fund Qualifications
Each application must be submitted by a BURGER KING
company or franchisee employee, who may apply for a grant for himself or herself or an immediate family member (i.e. siblings, spouse, children and/or parents of an employee and other family members of the employee who reside in the employee's household.)
In order for an application to be considered, all of the following requirements must be met:
- The employee must complete and sign a grant application in the then current form provided by the Foundation, detailing name, address, phone number, employee business location, the nature of the loss or hardship, description of need, estimated amount requested for the hardship emergency, the individual's agreement to provide copies of receipts demonstrating their expenditure (if requested by the Executive Director of the Foundation) and any other information requested by the Foundation.
- If a grant application is submitted on behalf of an immediate family member, then the employee and the immediate family member must certify that the information contained in the grant application is true and correct.
- In the case of personal hardship or disaster involving the loss of a residence, the employee should be able to document that the assistance being sought is for personal hardship or disaster affecting the beneficiary and that the residence is the beneficiary's primary residence. If this type of documentation is unavailable, the employee and, if the beneficiary is an immediate family member, then the immediate family member, must be willing to sign a statement attesting to these facts and agreeing to repay the grant if it is later determined that the residence in question was not the primary residence of the beneficiary.
